By using Coached, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What Coached is
Coached is a behavioral science product that uses AI to generate personality assessments and career reads. Our tools are designed to surface insights and provoke reflection — they are not professional advice. We don't guarantee specific career outcomes, and our assessments should not be treated as clinical or psychological evaluations.
Your account
You need a valid email address to use Coached. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. We use passwordless login, so there's no password to manage — just don't share your magic links with others.
Content you submit
When you use Coached, you may submit text responses, voice recordings, or LinkedIn profile URLs. By submitting content, you confirm that:
- You own the content or have the right to submit it.
- If you submit a LinkedIn profile URL, it should be your own profile, or a profile you have explicit permission to analyze. Do not submit other people's profiles without their knowledge or consent.
- Your content doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
You retain ownership of what you submit. We use it only to provide the service to you.
LinkedIn profile data
Coached does not scrape, crawl, or otherwise directly collect data from LinkedIn. When you submit a LinkedIn URL, we use a third-party API to retrieve the publicly available information on that profile — the same information that is visible to anyone who visits the profile URL without being logged in to LinkedIn.
We only access public profile data that the profile owner has chosen to make publicly visible through their own LinkedIn privacy settings. We do not access private or restricted LinkedIn data, we do not log in to LinkedIn on anyone's behalf, we do not use bots or browser automation, and we do not collect or store LinkedIn data in bulk. Each lookup is initiated by a user, for a single profile, at the time of their request.
AI-generated content
Your assessment results, deep reads, and other outputs are generated by AI language models. While we've designed our models carefully, AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally off-base. It's meant to be thought-provoking, not definitive. Use your own judgment.
Payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds
Coached has a free tier so you can try the product before paying. Paid features, including Coached Membership, are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Coached Membership is a monthly subscription. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown at checkout. You can cancel any time from your dashboard: click the settings gear, choose "Manage billing," and complete the cancellation in Stripe's billing portal.
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, unless Stripe shows a different cancellation date. We do not provide prorated refunds for the remaining days in a billing period after cancellation.
Because Coached uses expensive AI systems and begins incurring costs as soon as you use paid features, we generally cannot refund completed purchases or billing periods where the service has been used. This protects us from people using the product, receiving the value, and then requesting a refund after the fact.
If you forgot to cancel before a renewal, contact us immediately at team [at] coached.com, no later than 3 days after the billing date. If you have not used Coached during the new billing period, we may, depending on the circumstances, offer a partial refund, credit, or voucher. Refunds are not guaranteed, and we are unable to offer refunds for forgotten renewals if you contact us outside that 3-day window.
If something genuinely went wrong, such as a technical error or a paid result that did not generate, contact us at team [at] coached.com and we will review it fairly.
Please contact us before filing a dispute with your card issuer. Once a dispute is filed, the process is controlled by the card network and bank, and we may have to challenge the dispute with evidence from Stripe and our service records instead of resolving it directly with you.
What you can't do
- Use Coached for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Submit content you don't have the right to use.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to our service.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially repurpose AI-generated results.
- Abuse the service in ways that degrade it for others (excessive automated requests, etc.).
Availability and changes
We may update, change, improve, or discontinue parts of Coached at any time. This includes changes to features, modules, pricing, design, AI models, or the way the service is delivered. We do this to keep improving the product and do not need to provide advance notice for every change.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of Coached after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. You are responsible for checking this page periodically.
Limitation of liability
Coached is provided as-is. We do our best to make it useful and accurate, but we don't make warranties about the completeness or reliability of any AI-generated content. We're not liable for decisions you make based on your results, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can stop using Coached at any time. If you want your data deleted, email us and we'll take care of it.
